Happy Sunday!

Here we are again—another month of 2024 is coming to a close. I feel like I say this every month, but seriously—where did September go? With back-to-back travel in the middle of the month, the whole thing felt like a complete blur.

It’s left me constantly chasing my tail, telling myself, "next month will slow down, and I’ll finally get ahead." But then the next month comes and goes, and I find myself swimming upstream, scrambling to get things done. Recording podcast episodes two days before they’re supposed to go live, writing emails the day of—it’s a constant rush.

While I do thrive under pressure and procrastination, let’s be real—this pace isn’t sustainable for growth or scaling. You can’t keep chasing your tail, tackling things "in the moment," and expect to gain traction.

As I reflect on this season, I’ve had to ask myself, “What’s really stopping me from getting ahead?” Here’s what came up:

• No dedicated CEO time: I’ve completely neglected my no-call days and haven’t had a single one in months. Trying to get anything done between meetings is nearly impossible.
• Overloading my plate: Launching a new program, participating in bundles and summits, back-to-back travel, and working with two coaches simultaneously—it’s just too much.

If you’re feeling the same constant overwhelm, always dropping the ball, and never feeling on top of things (I’m talking to myself here too), and with Q4 approaching in just two days, here are a few things we can do:

• Schedule NO call days and stick to them. Last year, I scheduled CEO weeks—every three weeks, I blocked my calendar for an entire week with no calls. While I’m not sure I can bring that back this year, I can at least commit to one no-call day, starting with Monday, September 30th.
• Plan your content and marketing. As a generator and responder in Human Design, I tend to react to what’s happening in the moment, especially with marketing. But even if you don’t have every post written and scheduled, having a basic plan makes all the difference. Think about the questions you keep answering, know what offer you’re promoting, and identify the problems it solves.
• Don’t overload your plate. This one seems obvious, but it’s so easy to keep adding to our calendars, even when we know we’re already stretched thin. Identify what commitments are non-negotiable and what can be let go or put on hold.
• Take a moment to reflect on your business so far this year. How are you really doing? What do you want to achieve in the last three months of 2024? The only way you’re going to make it happen is by getting laser-focused and eliminating distractions.
