Ultimatums

Good Morning my friend!!

How was your week? What are you celebrating?

I was talking with a client recently about sharing wins and celebrations, and she reminded me how easy it is to overlook them. Celebrating wins isn’t something our minds are naturally trained to do—it’s a habit we have to build.

So, let’s take a moment. What’s one win from last week that you’re proud of? Big or small, they all count.

Here’s mine: I welcomed 16 amazing business owners into the Reflect. Refocus. Reignite. Planning Party! 🎉

Wins celebrated? Great. Now, let’s talk about ultimatums.

If you’ve been around here, you know I’ve been dealing with a Long Haul COVID flare-up since June. It’s been challenging, and I’ve been working with an amazing acupuncturist. A couple of weeks ago, I went in for my appointment feeling like I was back at square one. Progress I’d seen seemed to have disappeared, and I started venting to her about how nothing felt like it was working.

She listened empathetically and then hit me with some tough love:
"If you’re not willing to change your diet and stick to it, you won’t see the progress you’re hoping for. I can only do so much—you need to do your part. That’s your choice."

Ouch. She was right.

She was referring to eliminating dairy from my diet. My body has made it very clear it doesn’t like dairy, but I wasn’t ready to let it go. Ice cream, mac and cheese—they are my love language and now you want me to give them up? But in that moment, I realized my desire to feel better had to outweigh my excuses.

Since that day, I’ve cut out dairy (minus a little butter here and there). When I saw her on Friday, I was proud to report progress. My wedding ring—that hasn't fit since June from the inflammation—was not only back on but spinning loosely on my finger.

The experience reminded me of business. How often do we know what we need to do but let excuses and “good reasons” hold us back? The desired results require us to push past the things we think we can’t live without.

So here’s my question for you: Do you need to give yourself an ultimatum?
Are you holding on to habits or excuses that are keeping you stuck while you wait for results to magically show up?

If you’re aiming for big things in 2025 but find yourself in your own way, what are you going to do differently?

A good place to start is by joining the Reflect. Refocus. Reignite. Planning Party happening December 3-5.

This is your chance to step back, reflect on what’s working (and what’s not), let go of what’s holding you back, and create a clear, actionable plan for the new year. All while being supported by me and an incredible group of entrepreneurs who are ready to chase big results, just like you.

Is this an ultimatum? Maybe. But it’s also an invitation to step into what’s next for you.
The choice is yours.

Ready to show up and make it happen? Grab your bestie and let's release the excuses and OWN our results!

Strategic Resource of the Week

I had an interesting conversation in my mastermind group this week about the power of asking for the support and collaboration we need.

Too often, we assume people just "know" what we’re looking for or think we shouldn’t have to ask. But as busy solopreneurs, no one can read our minds—and a simple, clear ask can make all the difference.

This week’s resource is designed to help you take action: 20 ways to ASK for support in a collaborative way!

So, here’s the challenge: Which ASK will you take action on this week? Let me know!

p.s. Can we celebrate that this is resource #45 out of #52? When I committed to this in January it felt SO BIG but I am so freaking proud of myself for not only sticking with this but for the amazing resoure library that is being created!! Scroll back and look at them all. There are some really great resouces in there!

Let me be real with you Reader: I’ve spent most of 2025 in hibernation mode.Behind the scenes of client calls and “busy” days, I was just trying to stay afloat. Yes, the backend of my business got cleaned up.Yes, I was supporting clients. But my own goals? The plan I made in December?Still sitting there. Half-done. Barely touched. And I know I’m not the only one.Because Q1 felt off for a lot of us.Ideas that never got off the ground. Revenue that was a rollercoaster. You’ve been doing your best...

Good Morning, Happy Spring Reader! I’ve been in San Diego since Wednesday for another business conference. My client, friend and colleague April flew out here with me, and we took some time to explore the city, meet internet friends in person, and make a few new connections along the way. This event has been a powerful mix of strategy and energy work, and in the middle of sound baths, meditations, breathwork sessions, and talks, two words kept showing up for me: BE BIGGER. It got me thinking...

Happy Sunday my friend! How did your January go? I’ve seen so many posts about how it felt like the longest month ever. Personally, I feel like it flew by—I can’t believe it’s already February! I spent much of January working behind the scenes in my business—cleaning things up, refining systems, and setting up processes to help things run more smoothly. Not exactly my favorite way to spend time, but it feels so good to have it done. Now, I can focus on the things that actually move the needle...
