Capacity and Action

It's Sunday!! Another new week is upon us!

Did your kiddos go back to school this week? I know for just about everyone but the Northeast school is officially back in session. On Mondays and Wednesdays I pick up my friends littles (who I consider my grandbabies) and both days I asked her what her teacher's name was and what they did that day and the response was "I forgot" and "I don't know...". Clearly 1st grade is off to a fabulous start 🤣🤣

Ok, let’s talk biz. I’ve got a story and an example for you today.

Earlier this week on one of my 4-on-4 chats, I met an amazing woman who helps business owners grow their impact through speaking. What I loved most was her focus on building real relationships with decision makers, not just cold-applying everywhere. You know I was all in on that. I’m even bringing her in as a guest expert for FVA because her approach is so refreshing.

A couple of days later she invited me to her monthly masterclass. And as much as I wanted to say yes, I declined. Why? Because speaking isn’t the strategy I’m focused on right now. Sure, it can absolutely help me fill FVA, but I don’t currently have the relationships to make that work, and building them is a long game. My 60-day goals are elsewhere, and I know my capacity.

She replied with:

I applaud you for acknowledging that now is not the right time. Sometimes those of us who come from a place of service are quick to say yes, even when we shouldn't. So I love that you can set that boundary. It is so important to honor our time! Love it. 👏

Here’s the thing: I see too many business owners putting their time, energy, and money into things that aren’t going to move the needle right now. They’re saying yes to anything that feels new, shiny, or exciting, even when they don’t have the capacity to execute or when it won’t generate revenue in the short term.

Every new strategy takes time to work. Jumping ship every time something feels hard doesn’t get you there faster, it keeps you stuck.

What moves the needle? Conversations. Relationships. Accountability. Personalized support. The actions that lead directly to clients and cash.

Last week in my DM workshop, I had attendees send me messages they were about to send to prospects. I gave them tweaks, direction, and confidence to move the conversations forward. That’s the stuff that actually gets results.

I had a couple of people take me up on it like the example above. She was in an active conversation with a prospect and didn't know where to go with it so I gave her some direction.

These are the actions that move the needle. These are the money-making actions that get results and are in alignment with your goals.

So if you’re in a growth stage and still have room for more clients, now is not the time to chase something new. Now is the time to double down. To focus. To have the conversations, send the DMs, ask for the sale, and work the relationships you already have.

This is what gets you to your short-term goals.

I want you to pause and ask yourself:

  • Where are you distracting yourself with a shiny new strategy?
  • Where have you asked for advice and then ignored it because it was easier to stay in your comfort zone?
  • Where are you repeating the same actions, not seeing results, and still expecting something to change?

We are too close to our own businesses to see the missed opportunities. That’s where I come in. Personalized support cuts through the noise, keeps you focused, and moves you into action that actually signs clients.

The real difference? Saying YES to the investments that move the needle now and NO to the ones that will take months (or years) to pay off.

Stop the spiral. Stop the guessing.
Bold moves bring big results.

Say YES to yourself and your business.

We can get started tomorrow, all you have to do is hit reply and say "YES" and I will have your back every step of the way from there.

VISIBILITY WORKS!

Had to take a minute to shout out FVA client Heather Aaron who’s crushing the 30 Days of Powerful Promotion Challenge and shared her results this week inside Back Pocket Insights.

But here’s the real talk, yesterday, her demand avoidance kicked in hard. She was sick of promoting herself. Sick of talking about her offers.

And I get it. Talking about ourselves over and over can feel exhausting. Most of us don’t love to be the center of attention (well… some do, we know the type).

But in business, visibility works. It’s our job to talk about what we do.

So I encouraged Heather to flip the script: instead of “I have to,” remind yourself “I want to, because it’s bringing results.” And also… take the weekend off. Share random thoughts, show behind-the-scenes, give people a peek into your life. That’s visibility too.

You can still grab the custom GPT and join the challenge for only $11.

You know what to do -

Go take action! Talk to you next week!

Happy Sunday! August already? I swear I just blinked and July disappeared. It was a month full of conversations, clarity, and honestly...a lot of personal reflection. When we wrapped up the month inside the Focused Visionary Accelerator, I asked my clients to share a non-monetary win from July. We spend so much time celebrating revenue milestones (which I'm all for...I hit my July revenue goal and I'm celebrating that too), but sometimes the biggest wins aren't the ones that show up in your...

Happy Sunday! It's a travel day for me as I head back to Florida after spending the week in New York. My heart is full of memories, my belly is full of way too much soft serve, and my feet are incredibly happy they got to touch real grass again. (If you know, you know. Florida grass just doesn't hit the same.) So, in honor of my trip home, I thought I'd give you a little "New York Michelle." Go sell your shit. Seriously. I've been having way too many conversations lately with business owners...

Happy New Week! Was last week a doozy or what? Monday - Wednesday, I felt like my brain was literally broken. I couldn't put a string of thoughts together to save my life. My head was pounding and I literally didn't next to nothing. Finally woke up on Thursday feeling like a human again. Word on the street was that I wasn't alone and the New Moon and Mercury were causing some of this havoc. Anywho - back in action... Last Sunday I shared that I completely revamped my offers...again. This...
