Happy Sunday, my friend! I’m especially excited this week because on Friday, we head out for my 40th birthday trip to Curaçao! My husband, brother, and mom are all coming too, it’s been a long time since we’ve taken a full family vacation, and I’m so looking forward to it. To kick it off we booked a spa day for our first day there. Diving right into deep relaxation! That said… I’m deep in vacation-mode hustle right now, trying to get everything done before I go. But I’ve had to keep reminding myself: not everything is urgent just because I’ll be OOO (out of office) for a week. If you’ve got a vacation coming up Reader, take this as your reminder, make your list, and let the rest wait. Now, switching gears… This week I unsubscribed from an email list I’d been on for two years. It was a daily horoscope email from a woman I’d heard speak at an event. I loved her at the time, and her emails used to be a bright spot in my mornings. But lately, they started to feel heavy, like every message was pointing out something negative or challenging. I kept asking myself: Why is this bothering me so much? Was it something I needed to look at more deeply? Was there truth I didn’t want to hear? But the deeper I reflected, the clearer it became. A lot of her messages were focused on relationship and marriage struggles, and if there’s one thing that’s rock solid in my life, it’s my marriage. I’m grateful for it every single day. And I realized… I don’t want anything, no email, no person, planting seeds of doubt where there is none. So I hit unsubscribe. There was a season where those messages resonated, but that season had passed. And I had to remind myself, I get to opt out of things that no longer serve me. I can always opt back in. Later that week, I had a soul adventure astrology session gifted to me for my birthday (and it was wonderful!). When the astrologer pulled up my chart, I immediately thought about those emails, and it hit me… Those horoscopes? They go out to every Taurus. But what they don’t account for is the rest of our charts, the layers that make each of us unique and that nuance matters. And honestly? That’s exactly what happens with business strategy. There are so many programs, frameworks, and cookie-cutter approaches out there that are designed to serve the masses, but they don’t account for you. Your values. Your strengths. Your capacity. Your goals. Your season. And when something isn’t clicking, we assume the problem is us, we must be doing it wrong. But most of the time? It’s just not built for you. So I want to leave you with a few things to reflect on today:
If so… maybe it’s time to unsubscribe. Maybe it’s time to rework it. Maybe it’s time to stop waiting for something to change and be the one to change it. As business owners, we get to do that. We’re allowed to evolve. We’re allowed to build what works for us. And this is exactly why it's so important to me that every client I work with, whether privately or inside my group program, gets personalized feedback and strategic guidance. Yes, there’s a structure and a framework we follow, but that’s just the starting point. From there, every client’s path is customized based on their goals, business model, capacity, and season. Sometimes those paths look similar. Often, they look wildly different. Because there’s no such thing as one-size-fits-all. Not in horoscopes. And definitely not in business. You deserve a business strategy that actually fits you. You deserve to feel good in your business. Let’s make that the standard. Want in on the FUNNNNN???? |
Are you tired of all the BS advice and false promises out there telling you all the ways you “should” grow your business? Whether you're looking to expand your audience, maximize your profits, or acquire the knowledge you need to succeed, Sunday Morning Brew has you covered.
Happy Sunday! August already? I swear I just blinked and July disappeared. It was a month full of conversations, clarity, and honestly...a lot of personal reflection. When we wrapped up the month inside the Focused Visionary Accelerator, I asked my clients to share a non-monetary win from July. We spend so much time celebrating revenue milestones (which I'm all for...I hit my July revenue goal and I'm celebrating that too), but sometimes the biggest wins aren't the ones that show up in your...
Happy Sunday! It's a travel day for me as I head back to Florida after spending the week in New York. My heart is full of memories, my belly is full of way too much soft serve, and my feet are incredibly happy they got to touch real grass again. (If you know, you know. Florida grass just doesn't hit the same.) So, in honor of my trip home, I thought I'd give you a little "New York Michelle." Go sell your shit. Seriously. I've been having way too many conversations lately with business owners...
Happy New Week! Was last week a doozy or what? Monday - Wednesday, I felt like my brain was literally broken. I couldn't put a string of thoughts together to save my life. My head was pounding and I literally didn't next to nothing. Finally woke up on Thursday feeling like a human again. Word on the street was that I wasn't alone and the New Moon and Mercury were causing some of this havoc. Anywho - back in action... Last Sunday I shared that I completely revamped my offers...again. This...
